Our Story
Holy Hammer was built on a simple idea: homeowners deserve an honest answer about their roof.
My name is Patrick Walsh, and roofing has been a part of my life for most of my adult life. I spent nearly 20 years working alongside my father, Tim Walsh, learning the roofing business from the ground up. Over those years, I had the opportunity to work on everything from everyday repairs and residential roof replacements to custom homes and complex roofing projects throughout the Greater Houston area.
My dad taught me a lot about roofing, but more importantly, he taught me the value of knowing your craft, taking care of people, and standing behind your work. After losing him, those lessons took on an entirely different meaning. Holy Hammer is my opportunity to carry the best of what I learned from him forward while building something of my own.
After spending so many years in this industry, I’ve also seen the parts of the roofing business that I believe need to change.
Too often, homeowners call a roofer with a relatively simple problem and immediately get treated like a sales opportunity. They’re told they need a new roof, encouraged to file an insurance claim, or presented with upgrades before anyone has really taken the time to figure out what’s wrong.
I wanted Holy Hammer to be different.
At Holy Hammer, we consider ourselves roof consultants first.
We listen to what’s going on, inspect the entire roofing system, document what we find, and explain it in a way that makes sense. Sometimes the right solution is a full roof replacement. Other times, it might be a small repair, a maintenance item, a flashing correction, a ventilation improvement, or something simple that can prevent a much larger problem later.
Our goal is never to sell you more than you need.
One of the biggest things I’ve learned over the years is that roofing isn’t just about shingles. It’s about understanding how the entire system works together, recognizing problems that others may overlook, and having enough experience to know the difference between something that needs immediate attention and something that doesn’t.
That’s the experience I want every Holy Hammer customer to receive.
We believe trust is earned by being straightforward, doing quality work, communicating clearly, and following through on what we promise. We take pride in the details, from protecting your property and documenting our work to providing before-and-after photos so you can actually see what was done.
Holy Hammer serves homeowners throughout the Greater Houston area with roof repairs, replacements, inspections, maintenance, and related exterior services.
For me, this company is about more than building another roofing business. It’s about taking everything I’ve learned over the last two decades—the craftsmanship, the relationships, the mistakes, the lessons, and the values passed down to me—and using it to build a company I’m proud to put my name behind.
A company where doing the right thing for the homeowner comes first.
No pressure. Just solutions.
Roofing should be about solving homeowner problems, not high pressure sales tactics
— Patrick Walsh, founder
We Do everything with L.O.V.E.
At Holy Hammer Home Services, we don’t believe a roofing appointment should feel like a sales pitch.
We’ve spent years in the roofing industry, and one thing we’ve learned is that homeowners don’t need more pressure — they need good information, an honest assessment, and someone willing to actually listen.
That’s why we follow what we call the LOVE Method: Listen. Observe. Value Add. Execute.
It’s a simple approach built around treating your home the way we’d want someone to treat ours.
L — Listen
Before we look at the roof, we listen to you.
What’s going on? When did you first notice it? Have you had repairs made before? Are you dealing with a leak, worried about storm damage, or just trying to figure out how much life your roof has left?
Those details matter.
We take the time to understand your concerns before deciding what the solution should be. Sometimes what looks like a major roofing problem has a relatively simple fix.
Our job isn’t to walk through your door already knowing what we want to sell you.
Our job is to listen first.
O — Observe
Then we investigate.
Roofing problems aren’t always obvious, and the source of a leak isn’t necessarily directly above where the water shows up inside your home.
We inspect the roof and look at the entire system — shingles, flashing, penetrations, ventilation, decking conditions, drainage, previous repairs, and other areas that could be contributing to the problem.
We document what we find with photos whenever possible so you don’t have to simply take our word for it.
We want you to see what we see.
V — Value Add
This is where we believe a roofing contractor should earn your trust.
Finding a problem is only part of our job. We want you to understand why it’s happening, what your options are, and what actually needs to be done about it.
Sometimes that’s a roof replacement.
Sometimes it’s a repair.
Sometimes it’s maintenance that can help prevent a much more expensive problem down the road.
And sometimes the answer is simply:
“Your roof is fine.”
We’re not interested in turning every inspection into the biggest possible project. We’d rather give you useful information, explain your options, and help you make an informed decision about your home.
E — Execute
Once we agree on the right solution, we do what we said we were going to do.
Clear scope of work. Quality materials. Proper installation. Attention to detail. Before-and-after documentation whenever applicable.
Whether we’re replacing an entire roof or repairing one small problem area, the standard doesn’t change.
We believe small jobs deserve the same care as big ones.
Because at the end of the day, we’re not just fixing roofs.
We’re solving problems for homeowners.
Roof Consultants, Not Salespeople
That’s really what the LOVE Method comes down to.
Listen to the homeowner.
Observe the problem.
Add value through knowledge and honest recommendations.
Execute the solution correctly.
You shouldn’t have to know everything about roofing to know whether you’re being treated fairly.
That’s our responsibility.
At Holy Hammer Home Services, our goal isn’t to sell you the most expensive solution.
It’s to help you find the right one.
